All prerequisites requires Microsoft installer version 3.1 or higher. Microsoft installer 3.1 is included in installation package.

Installation package (at this moment) includes all x86 (32-bit) components.
Components for x64 (64-bit) should be downloaded from Microsoft Download Center.

If you are sure you alreday have all prerequisites
installed on your computer 

               you may use CubePlayer without installation.

1. If you do not have license, register yourself on our web site.
    Downlaod Trial license. Do not download Installation package.
2. Install CubePlayer Update received inside installation pack
3. Unpack zipped files.
4. Find CubePlayerViewer.exe and just run it. (create shortcut on the desktop)

To use help in application press F1 and you wil get our WebHelp
(since you did not download Help.chm file - not included in Update package).

Hardware and software prerequisites

Before you can start using the SoftPro CubePlayer, you should ensure the proper hardware and software (server, workstation) platform is prepared and ready to be used.

The client machine should have at least 2.4 GHz CPU with at least 512 MB of RAM, a good graphic card and a display device (tipically a 18-20 inch LCD) capable of showing the 1280x1024 resolution or better.

Important note

The version of the SQL Server Service Pack must be exactly the same on both server and client machine! Failing to comply with this requirement may result in inability to see any cubes on the OLAP server.

All SoftPro CubePlayer installations use the Windows Installer technology (version 3.1).

If you do not have it you can find it inside package as well as Framework 2.0.

 Setup.exe contains:

(In case you know you have prerequisites installed already, you can run CubePlayer20.msi.)

This file will ensure that you have all necessary components (prerequisites) on your computer like.

After successful installation CubePlayer icon will appear on your desktop.

Error Message: Duplicated dimension XXXXX across independent axis.

Case:                after installing CubePlayer, 
                        attempting to create query in designer
                        attempt to run it

Cause:              Pivote Table Service is not installed on the computer

Solution:           1. Download PTS from Microsoft site:

                        2. Run PTSlite.exe
                        3. Run CubePlayer
